On March 20, Los Angeles will welcome its inaugural Tables That Bloom event—a signature fundraiser being championed by Delta Gamma alumnae chapters across the country. Inspired by our Spring into Design theme, the event will feature custom designed tablescapes to support LA’s Blind Children’s Center and the Delta Gamma Foundation.

Designers, chefs, florists, and vendors throughout the region are invited to showcase their talents and businesses, while supporting one of LA’s oldest charities—the Blind Children’s Center now in its 79th year of service. We anticipate 200+ attendees at the luncheon event, which will be held downtown at the prestigious California Club, and includes a mimosa reception, auction and keynote address by entrepreneur and UCLA Delta Gamma alumna, Erin Condren. About the Blind Children’s Center

The Blind Children’s Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 1938 by UCLA’s Head of Medicine Dr. Lillian Titcomb and other visionary Delta Gamma alumnae from Southern California. Each year the Center serves 100 children and provides support services for more than 500 family members. Our goal is to optimize each child’s development and opportunities to lead a meaningful life through early intervention, followed by curriculum specifically adapted to the needs of each student.

We are committed to a family-focused approach where parents, siblings, grandparents, and caregivers are included in the educational process every step of the way. All programs are fully inclusive, with sighted children integrated in each class, providing unique opportunities for social interaction and acquisition of critical skills. Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, all services are provided completely free of charge. Learn more about the Center by visiting

Things to consider

Lunch will be served at your designed table. Each table will be set for 10 guests. The venue will provide white tablecloths and napkins, or you can choose to incorporate linens into your design. You may also include service wear in your design, but please note it will be removed after the table viewing (before lunch is served) and the venue’s service wear will be used.

The event’s auction plays a significant role in our fundraising effort. Designers are welcome to make donations to our auction/raffle; examples include donated designer services, such as a future floral arrangement, photo session, jewelry item, or invitations for an event.
Thank you!
