A family-centered agency serving children with visual impairments

"I am in the 9th grade and a third-year cadet of Nishi Girl Scout Troop 1218 located in downtown Los Angeles. I have completed my Silver Award Project working with the Blind Childrens Center. I raised $400 in donations by baking Braille sugar cookies and selling them. With the donations, I purchased 20 beach towels which I made into cot covers by sewing on elastic bands. The cot covers will be used by the children during nap time. With the balance of the money I was also able to buy three heavy duty red tricycles."
Thanks, Michelle, for fulfilling the Girl Scout promise and benefiting the Blind Childrens Center. The children and staff are grateful for your initiative and ingenuity!
