Team Blind Children Finishes Big
"Our best year ever!"
On Sunday, March 6th, 35 athletes walked, ran and biked for the Center's children. The Los Angeles Marathon, Acura LA Bike Tour & Emerald Nuts 5K Run/Walk was a huge success raising over $44,000! Included in that total is more than $14,000 raised by Larry Meyer, Marathon Committee Co-Chair. Larry ran "the extreme" Antarctica Marathon for the children and families of the Center.
Over 150 volunteers participated on race day to show their support. Breakfast was provided for all volunteers by Trader Joe's and Dynamo Distributors.
Econ One Research was the Center's generous premier sponsor this year, helping make it, "Our best year ever," said Mark West, Marathon Committee Co-Chair.
"We're very grateful for the support and generosity of our athletes, volunteers, and corporate and community sponsors."
