Halloween Haunts

Regal Princesses and bold Superheroes paraded through the halls of the Blind Childrens Center collecting treats and playing tricks. A spooktacular Halloween party followed thanks to the generosity of the San Fernando Valley Delta Gammas.

And for the adult ghosts and goblins, Les Marraines Halloween Luncheon was perfectly ghoulish this year! Always a great time, the afternoon started with a boo-tique, followed by a yummy lunch, and exciting raffle. Les Marraines is an auxiliary group that raises money to support the children throughout the year.

Centurions Grill It Up for the Kids…

…lunch, that is, at our annual Fall Family Picnic. The Los Angeles Police Department’s Centurions Football Team sponsored a terrific picnic for the Center’s families. The afternoon was filled with great food and fun. Throughout the year the team raises money for the Center by doing one of their favorite things…playing football. This year they raised an outstanding $4,000 for the Center’s children and families. Come cheer on the LAPD Centurions as they take on Bakersfield and San Bernardino at home games this coming March. Holiday Party!
Ho, ho, hold it right there

Santa and his LAPD elves came to town with lots of toys and goodies crammed into their police cars. Los Angeles Police Department’s Rampart and Records & Identification Divisions hosted the school’s holiday party continuing a 35-year tradition of spreading joy to the Center’s children and families. Lenny Muñoz, retired LAPD officer, once again played the role of our enchanting Santa Claus. A very special thank you to some exceptional men and women.
