The Gibney Family Foundation Longest Day of Golf was a great success as always. Our heroic golfers played from sunrise to sunset testing their hearts, as well as their muscles, because they were playing for our very special children. They did a fabulous job raising over $48,200 to date. A very special thank you to our heroes: the Longest Day golfers and Richard & Lena French who were the ultimate hosts. There is one more hero to thank…The Gibney Family Foundation. This year the Foundation matched our golfers efforts with a grant of $25,000. Thank you!

In addition to raising money for the children, we also celebrated the life of our dear friend Mike Monje who recently passed away. Mike participated in this event and other Blind Childrens Center tournaments for many years to support the children.

The Tom Sullivan Blind Childrens Center Celebrity Golf Classic

EXCITING NEWS!

The Tom Sullivan Blind Childrens Center Celebrity Golf Classic will be presented by John Hancock Life Insurance. We are all very pleased to have them join us as our new title sponsor. The tournament is scheduled for Monday, April 23, 2007 at the renowned RIVIERA COUNTRY CLUB and we are SOLD OUT!

That’s right…the field is full. We are now starting a waiting list for all interested golfers. You can still join us for Evening Festivities at the Riv. This year’s Dinner and Live Auction promises to be fabulous.

Special Sponsorships are also available for example, purchasing a tee-sign or sponsoring on course activities.

Roddy Hiatt and his Team Do It Again!

Each year Roddy Hiatt, his Golf Committee and dedicated volunteers host a golf tournament on behalf of the Center. This year’s tournament raised $39,000 for the Center’s children and families. You are the best. Thank you!
