Making the Sensational Happen

One touch, one sound, one experience at a time

Blind Childrens Center is launching a Building Campaign to Grow the Building in order to accommodate FIRST, SECOND and THIRD grades.

Six compelling reasons for our building campaign:

1. We are uniquely suited, qualified and positioned to extend services to children in primary grades.

2. We are educating more children with multiple disabilities today than ever before.

3. We are committed to providing these children and their families with the very best facilities and services.

4. We need to add First, Second, and Third Grade Classrooms to better serve our growing population.

5. Services in the public schools are being drastically reduced for children in our target population.

6. Our parents have asked us to keep working with their children through Third Grade.

PHASE 1 $947,000 — consists of:

NEW Two Classrooms

NEW Second Grade Program

NEW Hallway including:
   Touch & Feel Wall
   Finding My Way Paths
Full Spectrum Lighting for Sensitive Eyes

• Specialized Equipment

• Improved and ADA Compliant Restrooms

• Renovate Lobby, Dining and Hallway Floors

Total Area: 1,479 sq. ft

To be completed by: September 2009
