Volunteering at BCC: An 80 Year Tradition

The Blind Children’s Center was founded more than 80 years ago by a dedicated group of individuals who joined together to give back to the Los Angeles community. Since then, our tradition of volunteerism has continued, and we encourage you to join us through various opportunities at our Hollywood campus and offsite.

It is our goal to provide each volunteer with a rewarding and fulfilling experience. We welcome groups, individuals, and Delta Gamma women, and try our best to match your interests with specific projects that are vital to our mission.

We simply would not be where we are without the wonderful help of our volunteers and thank you for considering a valuable opportunity to join us.

If you are interested in volunteering with us, please contact our Development Associate, Samantha Fong at samantha@blindchildrenscenter.org or 323.664.2342, ext. 2339 for more information.

We will contact qualified applicants via phone or email and begin the process. Thank you for your interest in volunteering with the Blind Children’s Center!

Delta Gammas

We at the Blind Children’s Center value the longstanding relationships we’ve cultivated with the Southern California Delta Gamma women since our founding in 1938. Our goal is to create a dedicated network of collegians and alumnae in Los Angeles to build an even deeper bond of sisterhood. We value your continued support and hope to be a place where we can all come together in Service for Sight.

On the first Friday of each month during the school year, the Center hosts designated Collegian Volunteer Days where DGs from universities throughout Southern California tour the Center, visit with our students, and assist with fundraising efforts. Collegian visits are on a first come, first served basis.

To schedule your chapter visit, please contact our Development Associate and in-house Delta Gamma, Samantha Fong, at samantha@blindchildrenscenter.org or 323.664.2342, ext. 2339.
